President of the JSC “Center for International Programs” Aida Sagintayeva met with the delegation of the JSC NC “KazMunaiGas” headed by its HR Director Raushan Raiskhanova. The sides discussed recruitment of the “Bolashak” program graduates, set forward some proposals and agreed to work out specific steps aimed at arrangement of the internships and trainings for the “Bolashak” scholars.

General Electric (GE) Transportation is a Business Unit of GE Infrastructure and is engaged in the design, manufacture and maintenance of products and services for customers in the rail, transit, mining and drilling industries. This includes freight and passenger locomotives, global services such as remote monitoring and diagnostics, maintenance, performance upgrades and parts, railway control and communication systems through GETS Global Signaling, online marketplace to buy and sell transportation equipment, parts and supplies, railcars through GE Capital Rail Services, propulsion and auxiliary power systems for transit vehicles and motorized drive systems for mining trucks and drilling motors.

Vice-President of the JSC “Center for International Programs” Erlan Umurzakov met with representatives of Karlow University (Prague, Czech Republic): Professor Tomas Kucera and Deputy Director of the Institute of language training Mrs. Vera Hoffman. The meeting aimed at discussing further cooperation opportunities between the parties.
The President of the JSC “Center for International Programs” Mrs. Aida Sagintayeva met with the Consul of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Almaty Mr. Enrico Pianta. Mr. Pianta expressed complacency with the results of cooperation with the Center for International Programs related to implementation of the Bolashak International Scholarship. The parties discussed the list of the universities in Switzerland, included into the draft List of priority majors, recommended for study of the Bolashak International Scholarship grant-holders in 2008 as well as cooperation development in postgraduate education.
Chartered Financial Analyst Institute held the final of the Global Investment Research Challenge Olympiad in London.
This Olympiad is a competition in business disciplines among established British universities. These team competitions consist of two stages: preparation of investment summary and presentation.
The Bolashak program scholar Aizhan Stanbayeva participated at the Olympiad as a team member of the University of Stirling, who came in a good second.
The JSC “Center for International Programs” congratulates Aizhan on her deserved victory.
